Fandango Quilt - Update

The quilt is coming along and I have, just this morning, finished stitching my squares together. I decided to go for a diamond pattern with darker colours surrounded by lighter colours. In order to avoid stretching the cotton, I made up larger squares, comprised of four smaller squares, and then sewed them together in strips.

I'm finding it's important to press each individual seem immediately, whilst once again, paying attention not to stretch the cotton.
What do you think of the final layout? From here I'll be attempting to machine quilt this main part of the quilt before doing the edging. As it's my first ever quilt it will be easier for me to work with a smaller amount of fabric. I have some pure wool batting to use but will be doing much practice on the machine before I take to the actual quilt.
